Easter Spirit =)
Praise the Lord!! What a beautiful Saturday afternoon =)
Yesterday was Good Friday. I very special Good Friday to me. I felt that we truly lived out the "Easter Spirit" of what it means to love, sacrifice and have faith. Thanks Peace =)
Although we sat so far at the back that we didn't know what was going on (at Blessed Trinity), but to see all these people gathered together and packed into the auditorium was very touching. People of all race and ages, sitting and standing together to remember Jesus' death. Praying, singing, and just being in the presence of so many other Catholics was a very powerful experience. There IS hope. There ARE other people out there to share the faith and will stand up for it. I was so...overwhelmed. It was like the WYD feeling of "you are not alone" =)
Watching "The Passion" for the second time, I was a lot braver and didn't cry as much as the first time. Apparently, when I watched it the first time, I missed a lot of parts because I was crying so much, haha, so last night I was able to really WATCH the movie. It wasn't till up to the part that "Jesus" was carrying the cross when I couldn't hold it in any longer. All of a sudden, the song "Jesus' Arc" came to my head and it made me realize that our cross is bearable only because He already carried the worse of it for us. In Him, we truly have peace.
"Today you will be with me in paradise" ...no matter what we have done in the past, so long as we believe in Him and ask for His forgiveness, He will be with us =) It was so comforting, yet it made me feel so ashamed. When we love, we are in God's presence, we are in paradise. What is love? Love is 4 people who have starved themselves for the whole day sharing 3 tiny "leen yong baos" at 12am at night *smile*
May *peace* be with you...
Love, wuss =)
