Mondays with Shen

At first, I intended to work on my editorial over the weekend, but of course..haha, I didn't *hon* butttt...I did accomplish a lot of other things. I went to RCIA with my mom on Saturday (saw prettie bethie again! hehe) and then went to confession and attended mass with my aunt. I'm so glad that I worked up the courage to go to confession b/c I think it makes a big difference to go during the beginning of Lent...so the remaining 40 days can actually MEAN something.

I've been working really hard since then not to sin. hahaha =P sound funny, doesn't it? well, I've been trying to be more patient and understanding, and in general nicer to people. I don't know if its working or not...but one big step was Sunday. whoa, I went to dim sum with my family (my big crazy chinese family) then went to Bill n' Betty's to "sit and chat" then went to dinner w/ ian, flo and mone...then 8pm mass with rod and grocery shopping. It was my "good girl" day...LOL. I don't remember when was the last time I actually spent so much time with my family and answered so many questions...you know..."questions" *hon* but it actually felt nice...and not time wasted. it was quality family time together..haha, or maybe I'm getting old. but its always nice to hear the adults talk about "when we were young..." (lol)

today is Monday..the beginning to a new week. also means 3 hours of lecture on phenomenology with Shen. haha, my dear dear Shen =) he actually ended at 5:45pm today instead of the usual 6:05 (lol) and it was actually still bright when we stepped out of BA! har har =P though I'm still very confused about the stuff he was talking about...I'm very glad that I stayed awake for the entire lecture. I wouldn't want to miss any minor points that may end up being a short answer question on the final and bomb it like I did the midterm -_-" boo...

then went to rod's for dinner and then to cmc for daily mass. I think Fr.Leung is getting sick of seeing us (lol) but he was very nice and offered the mass to rod's friend who passed away. nice to see biu rog again (its been long) and I'm glad that we could do "something" for him...

planning on skipping history of hk tm...har har. maybe I can finally get started on my editorial! LOL I just find that there is no point to go all the way down for 1.5 hours of lecture...or more precisely, to sit in the room and scramble to copy down his overhead notes for 1.5 hours when he posts them online. I really don't have respect for profs who are so...unpassionate about the course that they teach. and overall, I just think that its very unprofessional =P

looking forward to wednesday when I'll go down to GB for my dental clinic with Miss Wong (lol) I hope I won't gag when she takes impressions of my teeth =D then maybe I can go to Robarts and do some research for my paper before class...dunno. always have big plans...that crumble. but this Lenten season, I am going to be more motivated and assertive!! yes...I will work hard!! *you* too ^_^
